James Eberhard, CEO and Founder, Mobile Accord

James Eberhard, CEO and Founder of Mobile Accord, has established himself as a visionary within the global mobile community. As Founder and CEO of Mobile Accord, Inc., Eberhard directs and oversees the vision for Mobile Accord’s business operations. Mobile Accord provides widespread access to the mobile marketplace with innovative turnkey mobile business solutions. As a solution, Mobile Accord allows nonprofit organizations to communicate with supporters and accept charitable contributions via SMS technology. Eberhard is using his expertise to help guide and develop mobile charitable giving in the U.S. to instill consumer confidence and achieve regulatory compliance while maintaining the integrity of the mobile and nonprofit spaces.

Prior to founding Mobile Accord, Eberhard founded and created 9 Squared, Inc., a mobile content and services company that launched one of the first multi-platform mobile content delivery systems in the United States. Under his leadership, and with less than $50,000.00 in start-up capital, 9 Squared quickly evolved into a leading mobile content and services business. In 2004, 9 Squared was acquired by Monstermob Group plc.

Steve Gutterman, President, Mobile Accord

Steve Gutterman, President of Mobile Accord, has led and built companies that use technological innovation to propel growth over the last 15 years. From 2005 – 2011, Gutterman was the President and Managing Director of MBH Enterprises, a holding company that acquires controlling interest in financial service and B2B companies. At MBH, he held an active role in MBH’s portfolio companies, developing and leading operational goals/scorecard metrics, M&A and financing, technology-enabled operational processes, and market channel and relationship development. This active leadership produced a $150 million annual increase in portfolio company revenue over a six year period.

Prior to MBH, Gutterman spent six years at E*TRADE Financial, where he served as EVP and COO of E*TRADE Bank, a $35 billion federally regulated thrift. In this capacity, he had direct P&L responsibility for all of E*TRADE's cash management and lending businesses, consisting of a $14 billion deposit business, a $5 billion retail mortgage and home equity business, the nation's largest originator of luxury boat and recreational vehicle loans, a $2 billion credit card business and a nationwide network of 15,000 automated teller machines. During his tenure, Gutterman improved profitability in his businesses by over $100 million (or 300%) annually, and his businesses won numerous industry awards for best products and best innovation.

Gutterman holds a JD/MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Tufts University. He serves on the board of the State of Colorado Venture Capital Authority at the appointment of Governor Bill Ritter. He was also a founder and board member of Solera National Bank, a nationally-chartered bank that focuses on serving the needs of underserved retail banking customers. He is a board member and past chair of the Institute for the Study of Israel and the Middle East, a regional board member of ADL, the Metro Denver Economic Development Committee, the Rocky Mountain Eye Institute, and a past member of Columbia Law School’s Board of Visitors.

Karen Breen, Chief Financial Officer, Mobile Accord

Karen Breen, Chief Financial Officer of Mobile Accord, is a leader in global strategy, finance, business development and investor relations. She has more than 20 years of experience with global companies in the Fortune 500 as well as two IPOs. With broad expertise in all areas of business finance and investor relations, Ms. Breen is especially adept at strategic thinking and establishing processes that maximize profitability and return on investment. Ms. Breen’s financial expertise and experience spans five continents.

Prior to joining Mobile Accord, Ms. Breen held various senior leadership positions at TeleTech Holdings, a global customer experience solutions company. While there, Ms. Breen served as global treasurer and vice president of finance, investor relations and business development. She was responsible for several capital raise initiatives and all budgeting, forecasting and analysis for 17 countries, managing up to $1.4 billion in revenue. Ms. Breen also held financial management positions at Adolph Coors Company, H.J. Heinz and obtained her CPA while working at Ernst and Whinney.

Ms. Breen received a B.S. degree in accounting from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a former Chapter Director and Treasurer for the Rocky Mountain National Investor Relations Institute. When not running corporate finance, Ms. Breen is running marathons, finishing five 26-milers to date.

Nick Becker, Chief Technology Officer, Mobile Accord

Nick Becker serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Mobile Accord. Becker is a mobile software development pioneer combining innate technical aptitude with exceptional business acumen to drive innovation and generate growth. He is excited by new technologies with a record of translating market needs into dynamic and profitable new products. Becker was the co-founder and chief technologist of 9 Squared Inc. and now leads our specialized teams in the development of edgy mobile technology. Becker has a BS from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Finance and Information Systems.

Timur Nusratty, VP, International Business Development, GeoPoll

Timur Nusratty serves as VP of International Business Development, GeoPoll, where his main areas of focus are Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central and South Asia. Before joining Mobile Accord, Nusratty was Director of Public Policy & Senior Legal Counsel for Roshan (Telecom Development Company Afghanistan Ltd), Afghanistan’s largest mobile telecommunications company. While at Roshan he covered a wide range of commercial and public-related legal and business issues, from project finance transactions to regulatory liaising and negotiations. He also focused on the development and management of relationships with the US Government, the provision of legal support for government and military segment bids and contracts, as well as supporting M-Paisa, Roshan’s mobile money transfer solution.

Before joining Roshan, Nusratty worked as a legal advisor/consultant for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. There, he advised the minister and the telecommunications regulator on the drafting of the telecommunications law and other related regulations. Nusratty holds a law degree from Columbia University School of Law in New York City, and is a member of the California and Washington DC Bar Associations. He also holds a BA in Environmental Science and a BA in Italian Studies from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Nusratty is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
